Emmanuel Lutheran Church

Emmanuel Lutheran Church celebrates the Seventh Sunday after Pentecost this Sunday, July 7. Join us at 9 a.m. for Bible study. All are welcome to worship at 10:30 a.m. Fellowship follows at 11:30 a.m.

A “two-site” Vacation Bible School will be held Monday, July 15 through Friday, July 19. “Live Love(d) will be the theme for this year’s program. The Lutherhaven staff will lead the children through a week of learning, games, crafts, and activities.

Emmanuel Lutheran Church will host children who will be entering grades 1-6 this fall. A daily sack lunch will be needed as our VBS hours will be from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. St. Rose Catholic Church will host children ages 3-5 Monday through Friday from 9:30 a.m.-11:30 a.m. on the same dates as above.

Registration forms are available on the window by the front doors at Emmanuel Lutheran Church located at 639 Elm St. Please fill out one form per child you will be registering. United Church of Christ 

Church activities go on even during summer rain and heat and repeat. Pastor David Krueger-Duncan will lead the communion service during the 10 a.m. worship service in the United Church of Christ located at 423 N. Sixth St. All are welcome.

Child care for preschoolers is available in the nursery from 9:45-11:15 a.m. Please join friends new and old for the fellowship hour following the service.

Both members and friends are urged to attend the July 14 annual meeting after church so that their voices and votes can count in the decision whether to “test drive” a simplified version of our church council/committee organization. 

United Methodist Church

Please join us for worship at 10 a.m. Sunday morning. The Rev. Terry Hall leads the worship service. We also have a conversational worship at 6 p.m. also led by Hall.

There will be a parking lot sale July 13 (which is Cheney Rodeo weekend) from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

We are now taking registrations for our VBS “Athens Paul’s Dangerous Journey to Share the Truth.” The adventure begins Sunday, Aug. 18 and runs through Thursday, Aug. 22.
