Century Link food drive runs through Friday, June 29

CenturyLink, Inc.'s 2012 CenturyLink Feed the Children Backpack Buddies Food Drive is on now. The drive takes place across CenturyLink's operating areas June 25-29.

Recognizing the increased demand for food during the summer months when children are out of school, CenturyLink employees are collecting non-perishable food items at more than 650 company locations. In addition, the CenturyLink Clarke M. Williams Charitable Foundation is offering a $1 per pound match (up to $1 million) on all donations during this drive.

In Cheney, CenturyLink is inviting the community to participate by bringing food items or cash donations to the local office at 111 N. A Street between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday June 25–29.

All food and monetary donations collected in Eastern Washington go to 2nd Harvest Food Bank in Spokane and NW Harvest Food Banks in Yakima and Cheney to benefit those in need in the local areas.
