Please join us this week for Sunday morning worship at one of two services at Cheney UMC, 204 Fourth St. The first service is at 8:30 a.m. and the second is at 11 a.m., both are led by the Rev. Terry Hall. Between services there is time for fellowship as well as Christian education classes for ages 3 to adult. An additional adult class this week will offer information on an upcoming trip to Israel. Retired pastor Rev. George Abrams and his wife Jan will lead both the trip and the information discussion.

Sunday evening the United Methodist men will meet at the home of Floyd Cloke, 907 Moyer, for a chili dinner and fellowship. The gathering begins at 5:30 p.m.

Each Wednesday evening there is a Lenten soup supper at the church beginning at 6 p.m. All are encouraged to join us for this simple meal and conversation as we journey through Lent.

United Church of Christ 

Sunday services for March 7 begin at 8:30 a.m. in the Fireside Room with the Lenten study, “Prepare ye the way of the Lord.” Morag Stewart leads this study of the several predictions of the events of Easter. All adults are invited to attend.

On this first Sunday of the month, the sacrament of Holy Communion will be served during worship which begins at 10 a.m. Guest speaker will be Natalie Tauzin, coordinator of “Feed Cheney Free Restaurant.” The choir will sing. Following the formal service all are invited to the Fellowship Hall for conversation and refreshments.

Emmanuel Lutheran Church

Emmanuel Lutheran Church invites you to worship with us this Sunday, March 7 at 10:30 a.m. as we observe the third Sunday in Lent. Pastor David Ophus will preside.

Please plan to join us for our Lenten midweek soup supper and worship service on Wednesday evenings. Soup supper is served at 5:30 p.m. followed by worship at 6:30 p.m. Midweek Lenten services will continue through March 24.

A benefit concert for Haiti Relief is scheduled for this Sunday, March 7 beginning at 2 p.m. at All Saints Lutheran Church in Spokane. Tickets for this event are $20 and all proceeds will benefit Lutheran World Relief and the American Red Cross. For more information please call (509) 487-7507.

St. Paul's Episcopal Church

All are welcome! 

The third Sunday in Lent.  Holy Eucharist at 11 a.m. Rev. Christine Soule will celebrate and preach. Child care is available.

Lenten soup supper each Wednesday from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. at St. Paul's through Lent. Some of the contributors are John Shelby Spong, Marcus Borg, John Dominic Crossan, Siyoung Park, Nancy Ammerman and Emilie Townes. We will eat, then watch a 20 minute video followed by lively discussion. Come one, come all!

Narcotics Anonymous meets in the Parish Hall Tuesday and Saturday evenings at 7 p.m.

Wednesday morning fellowship breakfast at 7:30 a.m. Join us for good food, fellowship and discussion. Come and bring a friend! 

Attention college students: Each Thursday at 4:30 p.m., come and bring a friend  to the Holy Grounds Coffee House, PUB 204, to focus on topics about your life, followed by dinner at St. Paul's next door to the campus at 5:30 p.m.
