EWU Legacy in Art show features work by local high school students, teachers

Eastern Washington University Gallery of Art is pleased to be hosting Legacy in Art Education, an exhibition of artwork by area high school art teachers and students from July 2 through July 26, 2007.

A free opening reception for the artists will be held at the gallery on Monday, July 2 at 12 at noon.

This exhibition offers students and community members throughout the region the opportunity to experience the high quality of artwork currently being produced by local high school art teachers and their students.

The exhibition includes a diverse array of artistic styles in a wide variety of media. Participating schools include:

Cheney High School

Ferris High School

Lewis & Clark High School

Shadle Park High School

University High School

Eastern Washington University Gallery of Art is located in the Art Building situated in the center of the fine and performing arts complex on the EWU campus in Cheney. Summer gallery hours are Monday through Thursday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and the gallery is closed weekends and holidays. Admission is free.
