  • Eastern volleyball head coach Benson to take indefinite leave of absence

    After spending much of the spring battling throat cancer, Eastern Washington women’s volleyball head coach Wade Benson will take an indefinite leave of absence beginning Friday, Aug. 8. Associate head coach Michael King will lead the program in Benson’s absence. “Eastern Washington Volleyball is in great hands,” Benson said. “The players are ready for a great season.     Eastern Washington University basketball has announced its 2014-15 schedule, Aug. 12, which includes five home games in their first seven outings, plus a trip to another one of the Mecca's of the sport.     The dream matchup that hasn’t taken place the last three years will occur in 2016 and 2017.
