  • Spokane Fire District 3 levy on its way to passing

    CHENEY — According to the initial results of the August 3 elections, the Spokane County Fire District 3 succeeded in passing their property tax levy for fire protection and emergency medical services. The proposition received 3,093 votes to approve (76.88%) and 930 votes to reject (23.12%).     CHENEY — According to the initial results of the Aug. 3 Primary Elections, Mark Posthuma and Jacquelyn Belock will progress to the general election for City Council Position No. 3. Belock accumulated 37% of the vote with 332 ballots and Posthuma captured 27% with 239 votes. When reached by phone, Belock expressed shock and excitement over the current results.     CHENEY — According to the initial results of the August 3 elections, Suzanne G. Dolle and Zachary Zorrozua will be moving to the general election for the second seat of the Cheney School Board.
