Man arrested for domestic violence

Fired gun through kitchen door

SPOKANE VALLEY - Tyler J. Bowman, 35, was arrested and charged with three accounts of 1st degree assault domestic violence on Oct 24.

At approximately 9:00 a.m., two independent callers reported arguing and multiple shots fired in E Broadway Ave and N Burns Road area in Spokane Valley.

Deputies responded and found Bowman in a residence in the area, when deputies contacted Bowman he complied and walked out with his arms raised.

When Bowman was asked about the shots fired he replied it was his house, when he was asked to clarify he explained he was in an argument with a woman. The woman was contacted and said that she and two children were present.

When Spokane deputies were granted a search warrant deputies found a used bullet in the kitchen and a small hole in the wood of the door.

After deputies investigated more they had found based off of evidence the bullet was fired from outside, through the door, and into the kitchen.

Deputies retrieved a .380 semi-automatic pistol, spent casings, the bullet, and a knife.

Bowman was charged with three counts of assault (DV) and was transported then booked into the Spokane County Jail.
