Cheney struggling
After jumping out to a perfect 7-0 record, Cheney baseball has hit a wall following spring break, losing five of six.
The Blackhawks had dropped five of their last six including contests April 11 by a 17-0 count to Mount Spokane, and then April 13, also to the Wildcats by an 8-1 score. University won 6-3 April 14.
Carter McPherson and Brayden Martin had Cheney’s lone hits in the shutout loss while Jamel Chabot got Cheney’s hit in the net game. Tyler Ashcroft and Coleman Randles each had a pair of hits in the U-Hi game.
