Rogers races past Medical Lake boys

Rogers of the 2A Greater Spokane League raced off to a 25-4 first quarter advantage and was never challenged in defeating Medical Lake 74-32 as the teams opened non-league play Dec. 2 at Medical Lake.

“All credit to Rogers,” Cardinals’ head coach Jordan Starr wrote in a text message. “They pressed the whole game, their energy and athleticism were great. We were not ready for their pressure,” he added.

A full statistical report was unavailable due to technical problems, but Mavrick Rasmussen had 13 points and Taylor Oliver added seven more for ML Starr said.

The Cardinals were on the road at Northwest Christian Dec. 6 and are home Dec. 9 to entertain Lind-Ritzville at 7:30 p.m.
