AIRWAY HEIGHTS – Fans of the Bulldogs were able to get photos taken with the men's and women's basketball teams during a meet and greet event on Feb. 27 at Northern Quest Resort and Casino.
The event was also a send-off party for the teams as they are getting ready to compete in the West Coast Conference Tournament.
Over 300 area residents signed up for photos with the team, and several participants won door prizes such as autographed posters and other memorabilia. Kids, parents, and grandparents alike ran up to the players for fist bumps and handshakes with smiles on their faces, and the Bulldogs returned those smiles with gratitude.
"This is the first time we've done this," said Julie Holland, director of public relations and communication at Northern Quest Resort and Casino."We wanted to bring the teams out so fans out in the community could meet them. It's a great opportunity for the fans to wish them well as the Bulldogs get ready to enter the WCC tournament."
