Blackhawks dominate Pirates in final game of season

CHENEY – A chilly rain was blowing sideways through the stadium lights and onto the muddy field the night of Nov. 4 when the Cheney Blackhawks defeated the Rogers Pirates, 38-8.

The win was the first of the season for Cheney; it came in the final game of the year.

Despite the messy field conditions, Cheney wasted no time in taking the ball downfield on the opening drive.

Nehemiah Flatt scored a rushing touchdown just over 3 minutes into the game. The extra point was blocked, and the Blackhawks led 6-0.
