Police reform laws going into effect July 25

AIRWAY HEIGHTS — Like the rest of Washington state, the police department will be adjusting their tactics this month. Eleven new bills, signed by Gov. Jay Inslee in May, will go into effect on July 25. These bills are a result of recommendations made last year by the Washington Association of Sheriffs and Police Chiefs to improve the public service of law enforcement. They are part of a police accountability package.
