Tanner Groves named Big Sky MVP

Spokane’s Shadle Park grad, junior Tanner Groves becomes yet another Eastern Eagle to be named Big Sky Conference MVP announced March 8.

Groves becomes the second Eagle in a row to win and fourth in the last five seasons after Mason Peatling collected the honor a year ago.

Groves’ stats sheet seems most worthy of the nod with top-10 numbers in the conference in a variety of categories. He is fifth in scoring (16.5 points per-game), eighth in blocked shots (1.0 p/g) and eighth in free throw percentage (.798).
