Several Tundra and Trumpeter Swans are migrating north this month and
some stopped in for a few days at Turnbull National Wildlife Refuge. Some ice was left on Middle Pine Lake and that is where an adult Trumpeter and young cygnet stood to preen last Friday, March 22. The cygnet will have all white feathers when it is 1 year old.
