From Anna Deakin Marshall’s 1896 journal: “Prepared dinner for 7 and had 12 instead. Had roast turkey, mashed potatoes, dressing, 3 chicken, gravy, fruit cake, orange cake, mince pie, pickles, peach preserve, red raspberry jam.”
