Cheney soccer has tough week with close losses

Cheney's Noah Schorzman advances the ball in the Blackhawks' 2-1 loss to East Valley. The team wrapped up the regular season against the Knights. Cheney faces Clarkston on the road today, May 3, in a loser-out Great Northern League playoff game.

With postseason competition on the horizon, the Cheney High School boys soccer team wrapped up the regular season last week with a 1-0 loss to West Valley on Tuesday, April 24, and a 2-1 loss to East Valley on Saturday, April 28.

Against West Valley, the Blackhawks weren't able to find the back of the net but the Eagles found it during the 13th minute of the game. The goal ended up being the only score of the game, giving West Valley the 1-0 win.
