Blackhawk girls down Clarkston in GNL track and field

The Cheney High School girls track and field team had little difficulty in extending their Great Northern League mark to 2-0 with a convincing 108-34 win over visiting Clarkston on Wednesday, March 28. The Blackhawks took first in 15 of 18 events.

Cheney dominated the 200- and 400-meter events, capturing the first five spots in the latter and the first six in the former. Maddie Warren led the way in the 200 with a new personal record of 27.97 seconds for first while Alsatta Bakana was first in the 400 in 59.11. Alexis Miller won the 100 in 13.52.
