The Cheney Historic Preservation Commission was taking steps to place two local buildings on the national registry of historic places. One of the structures was a small residence at 213 C Street. The other was the I.O.O.F Building on First Street.

The Airway Heights City Council approved five new parks, recreation and community services positions. These new hires included department director and supervisor, recreation assistant, maintenance coordinator and parks maintenance over-hire.
