Medical Lake soccer opens with win over Mt. Spokane

Does revenge really taste sweet, or does it have any flavor at all?

All Medical Lake boys’ head soccer coach Zane Higgins knows is it feels good because his Cardinals opened the season not only with a victory, but a big win to boot, 3-2 over Mt. Spokane of the Greater Spokane League March 17.

The victory earned Medical Lake a 1-1 record last week as they followed with a 2-0 loss to another GSL team, North Central.

“It was a good result considering they beat us last year, 6-1,” Higgins said. “We had a lot of energy and we managed to have a lot of consistency the first half.”
