Medical Lake had a week like they have not experienced in years for its girl’s soccer program with a pair of Northeast A League wins — 2-1 over Riverside and 3-1 at Colville — before taking 2A Pullman to a shootout, and losing 2-1, Sept. 17.
The result has Medical Lake (3-1 NEA, 3-3 overall) right in the shadow of league-leading Deer Park (3-0, 4-1). The teams met for the first time this season this past Tuesday, Sept. 20.
Deer Park is the defending NEA champs and made it to state where they won one round.
