Cheney Public Library to hold GED classes

Local residents who have wanted to obtain their GED (General Education Development) but could not make the commute to Spokane finally have a chance to complete the process at the Cheney Public Library.

To be granted a GED, a person has to take four exams in the subjects of Language Arts, math, science and social studies, and score well enough to be awarded their diploma.

Cheney will be the first West Plains library offering this opportunity and anybody is welcome to be a part of it. The cost of the program is $25 per quarter, but if a person is not able to afford the fee, it can be waived.
