Loses heartbreaker to Rogers in nonleague game Saturday

The Medical Lake girls earned an important split in a pair of Northeast A League basketball games last week and a lesson learned on defense in a nonleague loss.

The Cardinals (3-7 NEA, 4-11 overall) dropped a 55-42 game at Freeman, earned a 45-41 overtime win at Chewelah before watching a sizeable lead melt away in the second half in a 69-67 loss at Rogers of the Greater Spokane League.
