Cards cruise past Omak

The Medical Lake boy’s basketball team needed to knock a little rust off the moving parts and used the Omak Pioneers to do it last Saturday night, Jan. 2.

The Cardinals got a solid defensive effort on one end and big nights from Cole Soliday with 17 points and eight rebounds, plus 15 points each from Jaelon Stith and Cory Wagner on the way to a 75-45 nonleague win in Medical Lake.

“Defensively we did a fairly good job,” head coach Arnold Brown said. The Cardinals raced to a 20-7 lead after one quarter and led 35-15 at the half.
