Farmen heads to King University

Medical Lake track athlete Elijah Farmen has signed a letter of intent to run track and field for the King University Tornadoes, an NCAA Division I school located in in Bristol, Tenn.

Farmen plans to compete in throwing events at the school as he was a state qualifier in the javelin.

‘Booster Club Five’ is Aug. 8 in Medical Lake

The Medical Lake Booster Club will present the “Booster Club Five,” a 5-kilometer fun run to benefit the organization on Saturday, Aug. 8 at 8 a.m.

The run starts at 200 E. Barker Road and runs through the streets of Medical Lake. Registration is $20 with a T-shirt and $12 without. Registration will be accepted on the day of the event.

EWU hockey golf tournament is Aug. 29

The Eastern Washington University hockey team will present a fundraiser golf tournament Saturday, Aug. 29 at The Fairways Golf Course beginning at 9 a.m.

Cost is $75 per person and $300 for a foursome and includes golf, cart, lunch and prizes.
