SCLD closed July 4
All Spokane County Library District facilities, including the ones in Airway Heights, Cheney and Medical Lake will be closed Saturday, July 4, to observe Independence Day. Regular hours resume Sunday, July 5.
All Spokane County Library District online services remain available 24/7.
Rodeo parade registration
Registration for the annual Cheney Rodeo Days parade is now open. The parade takes place Saturday, July 11, beginning at 11:30 a.m. in downtown Cheney.
Registration forms are available online at cheneyrodeo.com, by stopping by Zip’s in Cheney or by calling 235-2754 or sending a fax request to 235-6882. Forms may be emailed to answers@cheneyrodeo.com.
All forms must be returned by July 1. Cheney Zips is the sponsor of the Cheney Rodeo Days parade.
WA Veterans Cemetery
The ladies and gentlemen of the Washington State Veterans Cemetery in Medical Lake are looking for new members who can attend honor services for military members and/or spouses and provide representation from the Washington Governor’s Office, Department of Veterans Affairs and the military family to the next of kin.
