Quindry Murphy, a 2012 graduate of Cheney High School, has been awarded a Bradfield Family Scholarship for the current academic year at Eastern Washington University. The award is given to outstanding students majoring in music or geography.
Murphy, who won a $500 scholarship, is a member of the EWU marching band as well as the EWU Concert Jazz Orchestra, Percussion Ensemble and Steel Drum Ensemble. At Cheney High, he was part of the all-state percussion ensemble.
