The Medical Lake seniors who did wrestle in the final home match will take away pleasant memories, both personal and for their team which defeated Riverside 47-30 Jan. 29.
Both Justin Brundage at 152 pounds and Hudson Petek (160) earned easy victories as Medical Lake won its first Northeast A League dual meet of the season. Those wins gave the Cardinals some breathing room.
"It was a great match for him on senior night," Cardinals' head coach Sam Petersen said of Brundage who scored a technical fall.
Petek took just 1 minute, 5 seconds to pin his opponent.
