John Rodgers passes away
John Rodgers, the father of Eastern Washington University senior All-America offensive tackle Jake Rodgers, passed away Saturday, Dec. 27, 2014. Rodgers suffered a medical emergency in the stands during the final minutes of EWU’s NCAA Football Championship Subdivision Playoff Game versus Illinois State on Dec. 13.
“On behalf of the entire Eastern Washington University family and our football program, our thoughts, hearts and prayers go out to Jake Rodgers and his family during this very tough time,” EWU head football coach Beau Baldwin said in a prepared statement.
