CHS Drama presents musical

The Cheney High School Drama Department presents, “Sing for Your Supper,” a musical that according to production adviser Rita Tingey is full of “hilarious” situations.

Centering around the swing music of the 1930s and 1940s, “Sing for Your Supper” is about a producer of a musical nobody wants to do, who eventually gets engaged to four different girls in one night.

The student-lead production runs at the high school’s Little Theater, Dec. 5 and 6, and Dec. 12 and 13. Curtain time is 7 p.m. each performance.

Admission price is $5, seniors and students $3.

Feed Medical Lake Dec. 8

Feed Medical Lake celebrates “It Happened One Holy Night,” free dinner, Monday Dec. 8, 5-6 p.m., at 223 S. Hallet St. Dinner will include ham, scalloped potatoes and mixed vegetables with brownies or cupcakes for dessert.

Library group begins knitting

The Friends of the Airway Heights library are starting a knitting group, with the first project to be cowls for distribution with coats later this month. The group is meeting Thursday, Dec. 11, 1 – 3 p.m. at the library.

Rodeo, veterans benefit Dec. 7

The Stars Stripes, Boots & Spurs Car Club presents its second annual, “Santa’s Mystery Gifts, Live Auction and Luncheon” Sunday, Dec. 7, at 1 p.m. at the Bi-Mart Arena Rodeo Grounds building. There will be an all-you-can-eat baked potato bar and fixings, a silent auction, 50/50 raffle and a prize raffle including autographed balls by the Eastern Washington University football and Eagle women’s basketball teams.

Price is $10 person, $5 kids ages 4 – 15, with children under age 3 free. Proceeds benefit Cheney Junior Rodeo and The Time for Remembrance.
