Medical Lake is dominant in defense of 1A championship

When Medical Lake cross country coach Gene Blankenship boldly predicted his team would successfully defend their 1A state championship way back in August he took some heat.
Then, when his team's T-shirts came out featuring a target on the back, the burner got turned up a little more.
But following the Cardinals' dominating performance last Saturday on the 5,000-meter Sun Willows Golf Course in Pasco where they improved on their 2013 performance by scoring a 53-80 win over Kings in the team standings, Blankenship will bask in the remaining warm glow...
