The Cheney High girls’ golf team returned to league play, as they scored 597 to take third place in the second Great Northern League match of the season, April 22. Clarkston once again led in team scores with 536.
Steffi Cunningham led the Blackhawks with a score of 102, two strokes less than what she hit in the previous league match. Cheyenne Marchand and Shyann Morton also shot under 110. Clarkston’s Gracie Fraizer placed first in individual competition with 84.
Morton was the only Cheney golfer who competed in the April 25 Chewelah Invitational. She placed 10th in competition, hitting 105....
