Nation not entitled to wealth of individuals, corporations

I read with interest Ryan Lancaster's “budget discussion” (“Budget discussion falls silent on tax rates of the rich,” April 14).

Our nation is broke “out of money.” It is spending way more than it collects in revenue. His solution is tax the corporations and the wealthy. He seems to think he is entitled to what they earned. Individual wealth and corporate wealth does not belong to the nation. It belongs to those who earn it. The “nation” only takes it by force the same as a robber with a gun.
