Eastern Washington University's women's basketball team got part of the job done but couldn't finish their task at last week's Big Sky Conference basketball tournament played at the Stott Center in Portland.

The No. 6 seeded Eagles opened the tournament last Thursday with a 77-68 victory over No. 3 Montana State, ending a three-game losing streak at the hands of Bobcats.
