Cheney's girls golf team scored 381 points to finish seventh out of 10 teams at the East Valley Invitational tournament last Thursday at Meadow Wood Golf Course in Liberty Lake. The Blackhawks finished above three of the four Spokane Valley schools in attendance, with only tournament champion University finishing higher with 291 points.
Marye Fuqua was the Blackhawks highest placer, finishing 12th with a round of 109. She was followed by Marina Wilber at 133, Allie Brown at 139, Danielle Bauge at 141 and Sara Benzel at 154.
University's Kaitlen Parsons topped all individuals with a round of 82, with Deer Park's Kelsey Dutton's round of 100 being the highest of the five Great Northern League schools at the tournament.
