Nearly all the pieces are in place for the proposed refurbishment of SR-904 from one end of Cheney to the other. By handing over the project to the Washington State Department of Transportation the city will receive an additional $107,000 in funding.

Eastern Washington University students will face paying 3.6 percent more in tuition. In-state students will pay $2,793 in tuition and fees for the 2000-01 school year. Out-of-state students, representing 10 percent of the population, will not pay more as their $9,594 outlay will remain the same.
