Future Farmers of America state officer Bret Moriarty directs traffic during the FFA District 5 Fall Kick-Off Event for the Blue and Gold Leadership tour, which took place Thursday, Oct. 15, at the Medical Lake High School auditorium. Moriarty, a 2009 MLHS graduate, traveled with five current MLHS students to the FFA National Competition in Indianapolis, Ind., Oct. 17-24. The group is competing in the Horse Evaluation event.
