    EWU soccer splits on the road Freshman Saige Lyons helped the Eastern Washington soccer team make history on Aug. 26, as her goal in the 104th minute of the second overtime lifted the Eagles past UC Davis, 3-2 on the road, to give them their first 3-0-0 start. Eastern’s undefeated season came to an end two days later with a 3-1 loss to the University of Nevada Las Vegas.     Just 90 miles separate Cheney and Pullman, but until 2012, the Washington State Cougars and Eastern Washington Eagles had faced each other just twice in football. Those two meetings were thrashings, won by Washington State 46-0 in 1907 and 73-0 in 1908 and it took over a century to revisit.     Cheney Library is offering drop-in tutoring hours for basic computer skills and technology starting Sept. 12. The technology and computer training sessions are on Mondays from 3 – 5 p.m. and Wednesdays from 1 – 3 p.m., excluding any holidays when the library is closed.     Cheney Police officers apprehended a pair of car prowlers last Friday night who came to the city from Spokane in search of loot. Cheney Sgt.
