    More than 200 volunteers took part in last Saturday's Cheney Clean Sweep, the city's 12th annual day of cleaning up not only the city's public spaces but also residents' homes and personal items.     The city of Cheney's Christmas tree is transformed into different shades of color as part of last weekend's Holiday Hoopla downtown. The tree, which has traditionally featured colored lights, was updated with new white lights and shaded with blue, red and purple at times following its lighting in front of the library. Opened in 1964 at a cost of $150,000, the pool has proven to be a popular attraction over the years and enjoys widespread community support.
