    OLYMPIA – The Washington State Department of Natural Resources (DNR) announced in a June 20 news release that it is increasing the fire danger rating in several Eastern Washington counties.     Spokane County Sheriff’s Office is holding a women’s self-defense class Saturday, July 29. There will be two sessions available, 8 a.m. – noon or 1 – 5 p.m. Cost of the class is $35 per person for women ages 14 and up, and registration must be made by July 7 to ensure a spot in the class.
