CHENEY — The Eastern Washington men’s basketball team emerged from play in their two-games of the Big Sky-Summit League Challenge with a split.
Earning their second victory of the pre-season, the Eagles rallied from a 42-40 halftime deficit to defeat North Dakota at Reese Court, Dec. 4.
In the concluding contest at Brookings, South Dakota, Dec. 7, Eastern was unable to recover from a 20-point halftime deficit in a 74-53 loss to South Dakota State.
The Eagles (2-7) were powered by solid 3-point shooting, hitting 55 percent from beyond the arc against the Fighting Hawks from Grand Forks.
