SPOKANE VALLEY - The Cheney girls wrestling team used a pair of wins and three runner-up finishes to power past Mead, Dec. 7 at the East Valley Girls Mix and Match 140 to 122.5.
Jalisca Holmgren scored four successive win by fall, and did so in an ever-increasing efficient manner at 125 pounds.
Her first two victories came against Maelia Amen from Ridgeline and Gonzaga Prep's Nala Fernandes, both 4-0 and each in 1 minute, 23 seconds.
