The solid pitching from Lakeside Recovery ended West Plains' run at the Washington State American Legion AAA baseball tournament as the Bellevue team ousted the Cannons 3-0, July 30 in Port Angeles.
Lakeside would go on to win the state title with a 2-1 win over Yakima Pepsi Pak and a berth in the Northwest Regionals in Billings, Mont.
"The guy we faced on Tuesday (Colin Patrick) touched 90 (mph) a couple times and only threw a handful of breaking balls just to keep us off balance," head coach Austin Sharp said.
