Cheney gets offensive in perfect week in Single A

CHENEY – The Cheney Summer Hawks A team put up big numbers in a 4-0 run last week.

Scoring on average over 10 runs, the Summer Hawks rolled past Rogers 13-2 on July 1, swept North Central 17-1 and 17-14 on July 3 and Deer Park, 18-6, July 8.

Five runs in both fifth and sixth and sixth innings put this one in the books early.

Trey Sloan contributed at the plate, going 3-for-4 and on the mound with a complete game, five-strikeout outing. Kurt Schmitt, Blahne Schuman and Cooper Weed each had two RBIs.
