CHENEY — The following calls for service were reported by Cheney police between March. 6-12:

March 6

Residential burglary, domestic violence, and violation of court order reported in the 300 Block Erie Street.

Ronan L. Whiteplume, 39, arrested for fourth-degree assault and escape community custody from Department of Corrections.

March 7

Verbal dispute in the 1500 block of Fourth Street.

Verbal dispute in the 300 block of Erie Street.

March 8

Second-degree burglary reported in the 700 block of West First Street. Tools stolen from shed and two vehicles within fenced yard also prowled.

Third-degree theft-from vehicle in the 0 block of Fifth Street. Vehicle registration/insurance paperwork stolen.

March 9

Second-degree theft-from two vehicles in the 200 block of Presley Drive. Vehicle stereo, sub-woofers, amplifier, tools and snow ski equipment stolen.


Verbal dispute in the 300 block of North 11th Street.

March 10

Gregory Merkerson,68, arrested for driving while under the influence in the 2000 block of First Street.

Third-degree theft-from vehicle in the 2200 block of Annie Place. A 12-volt power inverter and cell phone charging cords were stolen.

Court-ordered surrender of a firearm in the 800 block of West First Street.

Fraudulent checks reported in the 2700 block of First Street.

Second-degree assault reported in the 1700 block of Second Street.

March 11

Surveillance camera stolen in the 300 block of Betz Road.

March 12

Tejay N. Parker, 18, arrested for driving while under the influence in the 2500 block of First Street.


Dog-at large reported in the 100 block of North Eighth Street. Dog released to SCRAPS.

Two boys — one 15 and one 16 — arrested for two counts of fourth-degree assault-domestic violence and one count of fourth-degree assault in the 1000 block of Betz Road.

Sudden death of a 65-year-old man reported in the 1300 block of First Street.
