Light department proposes mutual-aid resolution for Inland Power and EWU

CHENEY – City light department has put forward two resolutions which, if approved, would enable the city to request certified technician crews from Inland Power and Eastern Washington University to perform work when needed.

“To perform maintenance on the various components of any power infrastructure, from power lines to cables, a person needs to be certified.” Steve Marx, Light Department Director, said.

Marx said that the city has a full crew of certified professionals who can perform electrical distribution work.
