BELLINGHAM – Several Free Press Publishing employees were honored Saturday, Oct. 8, for their work in the newspaper industry during the Washington Newspaper Publishers Association convention.
The convention included the Better Newspaper Contest awards gala.
John Myers won first place in the use of small space for his graphic design work for Wild Bill’s Longbar advertising.
Former reporter Matthew O. Stephens received a first-place portrait photography award and a second for general news photography. Staffer TeAire Baier took second place in portrait photography.
