Despite changes of venue and starting time, Cheney and Medical High School graduation ceremonies came off without a hitch this past weekend. The 114th Blackhawks commencement, that saw 281 seniors awarded their diplomas, was scheduled to take place on Friday in the outdoor Pavilion at Northern Quest Resort and Casino. It was moved to Reese Court at Eastern Washington University.
The Cardinals commencement was to take place inside the Pavilion at Northern Quest Resort at 11 a.m. on Saturday and was moved to the outdoor Pavilion. The start time was moved back to 10 a.m. One-hundred-eighteen seniors graduated and more than 80 scholarship and awards were presented. See pictures of both ceremonies on pages A6 and B1.
