AIRWAY HEIGHTS—The city of Airway Heights has selected Zipline B2B Marketing for its re-marketing and website services options.
“The search culminated in three separate bids,” City Planner Zachary Becker said. “After review and scores from the committee, Zipline B2B Marketing has been selected as the preferred vendor.”
Becker went on to describe how in depth the website and rebranding will be and said it should streamline the web services offered by the city.
The process will include a community survey, logo development, stock photo development, the creation of a WordPress website, integrated email and push notifications. Becker said the site will also be versatile in it’s uses through different platforms.
“The testing shows the site will work on multiple platforms,” he said. “Meaning it will look great on a computer, looks great on a tablet, works on a mobile phone and also has the integration of Google analytics.”
Becker added that WordPress will host the website and that is would be cloud based.
Councilman Davin Perry wanted clarification on the financial impact of the project and its approximate launch date.
“I understand ARPA funds will cover it,” Perry said. “But I see a few different package options here and a final price we are going to go with. My other question is about the timeline.”
Becker told Perry that the price of the project is right at $34,000 and that the timeline had to be slightly adjusted by a month or so.
Speaking on an issue he brought up in a previous meeting Mayor Larry Bowman suggested implementing a mobile application to pair with the website.
“One major thing I noticed that is not on here is an application,” Bowman said. “That is definitely one thing we all talked about previously and one thing that definitely needs to be part of our re-branding.”
Becker said he would have to follow up with the contractor to clarify the needs of the city when it comes to developing a mobile application.
