CHENEY – The Eastern Washington University football team has brought on a new coach to tutor their wide receivers, according to an Eagles Feb. 28 press release.
Greg Hardin makes his way to Cheney via Oregon State University, where he spent time as the Beavers graduate assistant. He also helped coach the wide receivers, cobbled together scouting reports, worked on passing game concepts, ran the scout defenses and even helped the Beavers recruit.
Hardin spent time coaching receivers at Robert Morris University, where he helped the team to their first winning record (7-5) in 10 years.
Before he was a coach, Hardin was a star pass-catcher himself. He played ball at the University of North Dakota, where he set the record books on fire. Hardin is the all-time leader in receptions with 216, scored 31 touchdowns and amassed over 3,500 receiving yards. He was an All-American and an All Big-Sky selection his last two seasons before signing with the Denver Broncos as an undrafted free agent in 2014.
