Cheney Hosts Wrestling Invitational

CHENEY – Cheney hosted 14 other teams from all over the Inland Northwest for a Blackhawk Wrestling Invitational on Jan. 8. The Cheney High School gym was packed as wrestlers threw down on four different mats simultaneously to find out who some of the best wrestlers in the northwest are.

Cheney’s Joe Showalter secured a second-place overall finish in the 132-pound weight class. Collin Martin was third overall in the 160-pound weight class, Bradley Golden scored fourth overall in the 170-pound weight class, Ezra Anderson was second overall in the 182 pound weight class.
